Amsterdam Sights, Sounds and Hotels
In Anne Frank’s House, everything remains unchanged. Enter through the swinging bookcase which hides the entrance to the attic where members from 3 separate Jewish families were forced to live in silence for over 2 years when Nazi forces occupied Amsterdam during Word War II. This typical Amsterdam canal house is where Anne Frank wrote down all her thoughts in her secret diary and which gives us a vivid description of what life was like for the people who shared this small space whilst terror reigned outside. This is a popular museum and you may have to wait, but don’t pass up the opportunity of visiting this famous house.
Anne Frank's House in Amsterdam is a ghastly reminder of how cruel people can be, and although it is not the only poignant sight in Amsterdam, it is sure to find a special corner in your heart. The grand Amsterdam hotels will ensure that once you return from your days, or nights, activities you will be treated to comfort and style.
